Éire go Brách

A campaign has been
launched against the Lisbon Treaty by Éire go Brách to defend
Irish Sovereignty.
Maire ní Fhaoite its Campaign Director has said our group intends to
focus on three key areas of the Lisbon Treaty - Economy, Sovereignty and Social
Traditions.
She
said “the Lisbon Treaty seeks to undermine Ireland’s independence, and its
dictatorial legislation will be the death knell of Ireland’s prosperity.
The Irish
political parties that are promoting this Treaty have distorted the facts on how
beneficial Europe is to our economy, and how much this treaty will effect
Ireland’s exports in the coming future.
While Ireland has received over € 50 billion
in EU funding, in return we have given the EU over € 260 billion. € 240 billion
of this was taken from our fisheries, while a further € 20 billion has been paid
to the EU in the form of direct taxes and agricultural levies.
The Éire go
Brách campaign will also highlight how Ireland will have to pay over € 2.2
billion in annual taxes to the EU, while further hidden taxes in the form of EU
Directives, could see Irish taxpayers being forced to pay as much as another 10%
of Ireland’s GDP to Europe and its private interests.
We have been told that Irish businesses will have to pay a further € 2 billion annually in
the form of Carbon taxes. This will seriously undermine Irish competitiveness in
the manufacturing sector, and Irish consumers will subsequently have to bear the
brunt of these prices when they are passed onto the
consumer.
Irish Exports
Maire ní Fhaoite has also said the Lisbon
Treaty will directly affect Irish exports, making them less competitive. This
will discourage foreign investment in Ireland and we are likely to see more
companies reallocating to Eastern Europe and countries that border the EU,
especially those with low Corporate Tax.
Ireland at present has a Corporate Tax rate
of 12.5%, whereas Germany and France have 38.6% and 34.5% respectfully. Under
the Lisbon Treaty the EU Commission intends to harmonies corporate tax rates
under a Directive called CCCTB (Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base).
Since 91% of the
€ 84 billion of Irish exports are carried out by foreign owned companies (mainly
from the US), the CCCTB tax proposals will no longer make Ireland an attractive
place for foreign investment, and it will seriously affect Irish companies
wishing to compete against companies in Eastern European, and places like China
where wages are almost a fifth of Ireland’s.
We are likely to see more Irish people
falling into the poverty trap, and many families will be living on day to day
subsidence as Europe floods Ireland with cheap labour and cheap foreign
products. Recent statistics show that 17% of Irish families are living below the poverty line. If we don't act now this could rise to 25% or upwards of 40%
The
Irish Government has neglected home-grown industry, and we are no longer self
sufficient in harvesting our own internal wealth. Ireland should be looking
towards internal regeneration instead of selling our sovereignty and economic
rights to foreign interests.
Sovereignty
Maire ní Fhaoite has also said Irish
Sovereignty will be a key issue of the campaign against the Lisbon Treaty.
Millions of
Irish people suffered under English rule and its Imperial policies. Our heroic
soldiers fought for Irish freedom so we could govern our own destinies, and be
free from foreign interference. The Lisbon Treaty destroys everything Irish
patriots stood for, and Ireland as a Nation will no longer exist if our enemies
are successful in their disgusting attempt of global
colonialism.
Europe will follow the same path as England and all the other Empires
that went before it. It will repress its citizens and create a huge bureaucracy
that will attempt to take the resources of the people for its own profit. Fraud
is widespread amongst European politicians, and the EU parliament recently
decided not to publish an investigation of fraudulent claims in excess of € 100
million in political expenses.
The EU will be unaccountable for its
corruption and we are likely to see nationalist groups suppressed as Europe
attempts to crush any opposition to its agenda. Already we have draconian laws
in Ireland, and it’s likely the EU will introduce its own form of Section 31 to
stop Irish and other nationalities from objecting to its sinister
policies.
Also
the EU has attempted to introduce a new form of Colonial Plantation in the form
of Immigration - to weaken Ireland’s national identity. If Turkey, Morocco, and
other African and Easter European countries are allowed to join the EU, we are
likely to see our country swamped even further to our long-term detriment.
We must defend
our borders from foreign invasion, be they Military, Economic, Political, Social
or indeed the new Plantation.
Social
Traditions
The Éire go Brách campaign also seeks to defend Ireland’s Social
Traditions which come under threat from the EU Treaty. The EU is planning to
enforce Abortion upon Ireland, which goes against the traditions
and spiritual beliefs of our people.
We
can never support the killing of unborn children, and Ireland primary aspiration
should be that we nurture and protect our children, not kill them in the
Death-Centres that are built right across Europe.
Children’s rights must come first, and we must nurture a
society that protects the future of Ireland. The EU is not going to solve poverty or the problems in our health system. It exists solely for economic reasons, with social policies to control the people, not to protect them.
Ireland’s
future is at stake in this Treaty, and our freedom’s will be severely limited if
the politicians succeed in their attempt to destroy the Irish nation. In the
recent war in the six-counties all the politicians stood against Ireland. We can
see the results of this now climax in their treasonous attempt to reduce Ireland
into a provincial province in an EU Empire.
Everyone who has the slightest bit of allegiance to
Ireland must come out and campaign against this Treaty and against the EU
building program of an Empire. We must defend Ireland’s Sovereignty and
Ireland’s right to exist as a free country.
Let's keep Ireland Irish. Éire go
Brách.

Mise Éire
I am Ireland: I am older than the Hag of Beare.
Great my
glory: I that bore the brave Cuchulainn.
Great my shame: My own
children that sold their mother.
I am Ireland: I am lonelier than the
Hag of Beare.
